“Governments can be corrupt. The money meant for the people can go other places, and people can end up suffering, and yet God can still be present even in the midst of that suffering. That’s what Christianity teaches. Not that the people of Haiti are suffering because they did something wrong, but because the earth quaked and buildings fell.”

Good video. Jurgen Moltmann said that the only place God is in suffering is in working for redemption and suffering along with the victims (he said it in a more eloquent way than that.) Hope you’re well.
